Giant Resource Recovery-Attalla (GRR-Attalla) sits on 290 acres in rural northeast Alabama. The facility receives containerized and bulk shipments to be processed prior to shipment to Giant’s Harleyille cement kiln and other final disposal and recycling facilities.
Similar to GRR-Sumter, our Attalla facility operates a drum extruder
capable of cutting the bottoms from the drums and then hydraulically “ramming out”
the solids from the drums. This advanced equipment will benefit our customers by
significantly increasing capacity. Because our Harleyville operation is one of the
only kilns capable of directly burning hazardous waste solid material, GRR-Attalla
offers exceptional hazardous waste solid capabilities, including managing wastes
that traditional go to incineration.
